That's my boy!

Well tonight was Walker's first game, but before the game was picture time. The boys had 45 minutes to kill before the game.... playing on the dirt pile is how they killed it! Nice, they were filthy before ever setting foot on the field!

Here is Walker at his first time up to bat! Look at how intense he is! I am proud to say he hit the ball every time up to bat! That's my boy!

And here he is sliding into home after making an inside the park homerun! Yes, he whacked that ball to the fence! That's my boy!

And here is my boy with his hand in his back pocket! Not sure what he is doing, but hey that's my boy too!

And NOT my boy was one little kid in the dugout who liked to squeeze my cheeks together while I was busy putting bats and helmets into their bags. And I am not talking about the cheeks on my face...yes, tomorrow night his mom is going to love hearing about what her kiddo did to me in the dugout!

Overall, The Scrappers did a great job! i am very proud of all of them. Tomorrow night...game 2!
Here are some fun pictures I took while helping in the dug out! A little "Guitar Hero" action going on in there! These are the pictures that made me and Jason laugh...they're the ones we will be showing at their senior celebration and laughing!

Oh, an off the subject, Griffin is running a temperture...I swear (not really) that I am going to scream! So now all the kids are on vitamins and starting tomorrow more veggies and fruits! I am sick of my kids being sick!

This would better better if it was a video post...

Griffin and Daddy were playing with the bubbles the other day. When Jason thought he would teach Griff how to blow the bubbles. It was the funniest thing ever...he could do it, but boy was it funny to watch and listen! It was more of a spit action than a blow action. But he did it! So since, we are in search of a digital camcorder. Our video camera is o.l.d.

So what kind of vidoe camera do you use? Do you have one that you could recommend?

Sad...please pray...

Originally written on March 19....

****Babe, Chele, Nana, Kim, Stacie and other family members please do not read****

The entire crew...minus a Savage!

Mother with Nana, Kacky and Mike!

Jason's grandmother has been in the hospital. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few years ago and went into the nursing home on Jan 9, the day before my sweet Papa passed away.

She has being sent home from the hospital to the nursing home with hospice. I am so sad with all that has happened since Jan. 10th. Sad for me really...not for them. They are or will be where there is no more tears or pain.

We've just had so much happen since Jan. I lost 2 great uncles and my Papa within 16 days. In Feb. my friend since kindergarten buried sweet 5 day old baby Hank. Yesterday, Jason attended his youth minister growing up, our pastor when we first got married until recently, and someone he called a friend's funeral...Dick was 56. He was such a good man! And touched so many lives in those 56 years! And now to learn that "Mother" is being sent home with hospice to slowly pass from this earth to the loving arms of our Savior. I am excited for all these. They are healthy and happy now. But sad. I am sad that Jason is going to have to feel the pain of losing someone he loves and adores so much. I am sad that my children are going to have to grieve losing another great-grandparent. I am sad because I loved that woman like she was my very own grandmother. Sad...

Please pray if you are reading this that Mother will not hurt. And that we will all have strength during this difficult time...

Tonight, March 28th, we visited J's grandmother. We've been told that she will not last much longer. I know that it is all in God's time, but after seeing her I just can't imagine her being here much longer. In fact, while I sat there watching her struggle and fight sleep I prayed that the Lord's will be done. And that she would not hurt anymore.

There were moments that I caught a glimse of "Mother", but for the most part she was not there. She did acknowledge our baby. And enjoyed kissing him and looking at him. And commented on how pretty he was which is so "Mother"! She always says, "He must take after his great-grandma, cause he is so pretty!" But for the most, she talked out of her sweet little head.

Please pray for our family. It's just sad. And tomorrow is her birthday...

Thank you!

My little cowboy!

Griffin found this hat of Alli's the other day and wore it all day!
The hat looks like it has seen it's day!
He brought Alli's horse or "neigh" out of her room and rode it!
Isn't that how you ride a horse? While it's laying down and with a "pow-pow"?
And he has figured out the digital camera. After every picture he says, "See!"
Look at that cute little cowboy reading his books so nice and quietly in his room! One of those rare, quiet moments!

Please pray for Stellan

Friends, please stop what you are doing right now and pray for this baby boy. He is very, very sick and needs lifting up in prayer. My heart is so sad right now. Please go to his mom's blog for more info and updating...

Keeping it real...

So, I have a bloggy friend that posted her need to clean out her refrigerator and ever since I have felt guilty about not cleaning my laundry room. Not that she made me feel guilty, just every time I opened that door to pass through to the garage I would get so irritated that I had let it get to this point. So yesterday, I tackled it! And boy do I feel so much better! Now, my goal is to keep it picked up everyday. Just so you know I had picked it up a little before thinking about taking these pictures.

Doesn't this just make you feel so much better! It does me!
NEXT: Is this drawer full of...stuff. Mostly cords. Any advice, tips on how you store these things? I am thinking about buying a plastic container and storing it all under the cabinet! What works for you? I'd love to know!

Or do you have a room, drawer, fridge that needs cleaning?
Let's keep it real together!

All Aboard

Every since our visit with Candice and Paul David, Griffin has fallen in love with Choo-Choo trains! We came home and immediatly got the train table out of storage and put together the Geo Traxs. And the track stayed together for several days, before he has decided it was just as much fun to tear apart the track that mommy had put together.

Now he grabs Jason's hand when he gets home from work and wants him to come in his room and sit and put together his train track! Very sweet time they get to spend together! Lucky Jason, the train is in pieces and ready for him to get home from work to "play"!

Baby Dedication

Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
On Sunday we dedicated Griffin to the Lord. This doesn't mean that we "saved" him, but it means that Jason and I have dedicated ourselves in raising him (and our other children) to love the Lord and to raise them as Jesus would have us raise them.

Our family came as support and our church family prayed around us. And wow what an amazing feeling. I could so feel His presence and the love around us. We have been blessed with a loving church family and family. I am so thankful and feel so blessed to be where we are at this very moment. There is not a doubt in my mind we are where we are supposed to be!
You can see little Griff poking his head up and looking around during our prayer...
I was so worried that he was going to get up there and be grumpy. He had been grumpy in sunday school and we had left his pacifer at home so I was worried...but because he didn't know what was going on he was interested and entertained and behaved! Thankgoodness!

Our Homerun King!

Go Scrappers!!!

Baseball season is here! And we are so excited to kick off the season! This past weekend was Walker's first practice and when he got his uniform and number! The last 2 years he has been #5, and I would personally liked for him to keep the same number just because I am sentimental that way.

But he picked #10. Which is his last 2 yrs combined...if that makes me feel better!
On Saturday during practice my little guy hit his first homerun! You should have seen his face! PRICELESS! He couldn't believe it! And neither could any of the other kiddos! They cheered for him to "smash" it again the rest of his time up to bat. I just hope now he doesn't try to "kill it" everytime he gets up to bat...

I am very proud of him! This is his sport...he absolutely loves baseball!

Alli's starts softball today...but it is raining so I figure that practice will be rescheduled. She is very excited to start too! Can't wait to see how she does! And pray that she isn't hit in the nose again this year!

I heart faces - No Flash

I've been lurking over at I heart faces for several weeks now. And finally I decided to join in on the fun! Anybody interested in photography should totally check out their site! They have tons of tutorials and info! So go...check it out now!

This weeks theme was NO FLASH...so I've choosen this one that I took back in May, 2008 of my babies. This was taken in our garage on a black piece of fabric that I bought at Wal-Mart for like $2.oo. It was taken without the flash with only the natural light from outside!

It is one of my absolute favorites! It makes me sad that this was taken almost a year ago and that my baby boy is about to be 2 in just 3 months...and that my baby girl will be 10 in a month...were does the time go?

Please Pray

As you know I asked for prayer for a baby named Stellan last year. And he could use prayers right now. He is in the PICU right now with SVT. Please go to his mom's blog for more info...They all desperately need your prayers. Thank you!

Just realized...

Griffin is 21 months old today! Yikes! Where in the world does the time go?

My little photographer!

While we were in the zoo Walker asked to take a picture of me in front of the giraffes. I let him and that turned into let me keep taking pcitures. If you look in the first collage. The picture in the upper left hand corner he took and then said, " I couldnt' get all the giraffe." So in other words he cut half my face off to get the whole giraffe!
I think he may have a pretty good eye! He took all of these without my help! I am so impressed and loved watching him do something that I absolutely love and have always loved!
This is going to be fun!

Hands down...

the Houston Zoo rocks!
Walker was very interested in comparing his hands with all the monkeys' hands!

The Houston Zoo

On Monday, we were in Houston and my sweet friend Candice came and picked me and the boys up and took us to the zoo! I decided I could not drive in the Houston traffic and Candice was so sweet to come and get us!

We met Amanda and her boys there too! So there were 3 mommies, 2 were pregnant and 5 boys!

The boys had a great time running thru the zoo! And we mom's were worn out by the end of the 6 hour tour! Yep, that's right...we were there for 6 hours! I was exhausted...I know the preggos had to be too!

Above my boys are watching the tiger demonstration! They both were so intrigued! And Walker got to pass the tiger's toy ball around! That made him feel really special and his little face just lit up!

Here is the trainer training the tiger!

Me and my boys! Griffin sat in his stroller most of the entire time. He watched all the animals, but I watched him while one of the big giraffes was walking toward him and his face was priceless! His eyes got huge and he looked alittle concerned, until the giraffe kept walking.

Do you see how the lion is sleeping? Walker said, "He is sleeping upside down!" He was just all laid out and sunning!

Amanda's oldest son, Coleman, kept talking about the tunnel...Well this is the tunnel! Walker LOVED it! I couldn't keep him out of it! Here he is "swimming" with the fish!

And another one of him "swimming" with his mouth open wide!
This one turned out funny! That fish looks like it is swimming right on his head!

They had a carousel at the zoo, which my 2 LOVED! Griffin just lit up the whole time we were on it!

And Walker begged to right it again...and again!

Finally, we ended our day with a trip around the park on the train! All the boys loved it! It was the perfect ending to a great day spent with friends!
Here is Griffin in a sugar induced coma! We bought a bag of cotton candy and shared it! Griffin by this point was exhausted!
