Mendy.Wyatt.tons of animals.tons of kids.fun fun!

Our day at the farm!

Yesterday our friend Mendy, who now lives in Waco, called and said she was headed up to our area for the weekend. She wanted us all to come out for lunch at her sisters place! We, of course, said yes. We try to not to ever turn down an invitation like this when a good friend is in town! Our friend Mendy is raising her niece and nephew who are 5 and 4. My kids always look forward to playing with them!
So first off...I'm sure you are all wondering about the pictures up above. Well, we went to the farm free of pets and yep...came home a proud dog owner! Wyatt is his name. He is a yellow lab about 5 yrs old. Let me just say this little girl is in "dog" heaven. This dog is extremely laid back and easy going and lazy! That is how we like it!
I had fun taking pictures all over the farm. Lots of neat and interesting things to snap a photo of!
I said who needs the zoo when you got Karen's farm! They had all kinds of animals. Let me see if I can name them all:
mules, emus, goats, dogs, cats, llamas, apacas, and I think Walker said in the house was a gecko. My kids had a blast and were worn out before bed tonight!
Their were 7 children total! 7 children who played perfectly together. The 3 big boys (Walker H., Grant W. and Dayton) were precious playing baseball and jumping on the trampoline! They had fun! Alli played with the dog or cats the whole time and G roamed an played constantly with pine cones and sea shells! I mean hours of putting cones/acorns/rocks in a bucket or shell! He was pooped! And the other 2 little ones (Walker W. and Deja) played with the pine cones and on the fort so nicely together. Never had an arguement! It was perfect!

Oh, and get this...we lost G at one point. It was time to fix hotdogs. I needed to wash my hands so I told J I would be right back. He for some reason thought I took him with me. So I went in washed, came back out and notice pretty quickly that the little one wasn't toddling around. I said, "Babe, where is the little one?" He looks at me with a blank look and says, " I thought you had him?" No I didn't have him. I just ran in to wash and that was it. So I immediately look towards the pond. But I didn't think he could have gotten through the fence at all and much less to the pond that quickly. And then we started running calling his name and their he was walking up the ramp to the deck that is about 15 feet above the ground! And get this, he little mama Alli was the first to him. That child is a nervous Nelly too! She is so good with him! But he is safe and praise the Lord not "missing" for more than a couple of minutes!

Mendy, we had soooooooo much fun! We can't wait to do it again! Tell Karen thanks for having us! Her place is like heaven to me! So peaceful!

And JO it was good to visit with you again! You and Amy W.!

Performance before the game...

Last weekend Alli when to The Pacesetter's mini camp. With it came a performance before tonights home game!
This is before the game during their practice.

Uncle Mike and Aunt Son-Son came too because their little granddaughter, Estella, performed also! The kids were excited to see them!

I've decided my daughter is not bashful. She was a character out there tonight! Acting silly and all!

Couldn't not post one of my little man! Look at his blue eyes and blue shirt!
While we stood there like the paparazzi do while trying to get the perfect picture of a celebrity Walker found one of his favorite classmates, Jake...remember him? The orange headed kid? Isn't he the cutest!

It's show time! Robyn in the middle looks a little embarrassed I think? Well...we did all look like the paparazzi so I am sure we were frightening looking to those poor girls!Hey, look Alli has her tongue out...she got that from her Mama!
Again, her tongue is out! When I was a cheerleader that is the only way I could dance too!
This is her rock star pose! I'm not sure what the little girl next to her is doing? They are not even at the same place in that dance uh?

It's over and they survived! Great job Lainey, Robyn and Alli-bug! Y'all were so much fun to watch!
This little guy decided he liked sitting next to the band and dancing with the music! He was a wild man! He and I left at half time! We had enough to last us for several weeks!

Proud of my "Proud Panther"!

So yesterday, I was anxiously waiting for Walker to get home from school to tell me all about having his friend in his class!

So he walks in the door and he is beaming from ear to ear! I am eagerly waiting for him to tell me all about little Aaron being in his class. But instead he announces that he is the proud panther of the week. He was the first one chosen this year from his class! He came in with a certificate, a free meal at the Roadhouse and a poster to decorate about himself for the wall at the school! He could not have been any more proud of himself!

I asked how he was chosen and he informed me that there are camera's all over the school and the principles watch and notice when you are obeying the rules! I thought that was too cute!

He told me the class congratulated him! And that he would be acknowledged on Friday at the "Fabulous Friday" ceremony before school. He got to go up on stage and sing a song??? not sure what song that would be! OK so I just asked and he sang the school song! And he got an extra recess with the principle!

It's so nice to know that they notice too that he is a "sweet" boy! For the most part uh?

Anyway, he was excited about his new classmate but even more proud to be the newest "proud panther"!

Keep up the good work Walker! We are proud parents!

It's time for fall jeans!

Griff's first pair of jeans this season!

Well, they are painter's jeans!
Look at that little booty! I could just squeeze it!

B.A.Y.L.O.R.

Yesterday evening Walker stood up and started spelling out the words on this shirt. It immediately brought back memories of when Miss Alli did the exact same thing with the exact same shirt...well, actually it was a totally different Baylor Law shirt, but it was a gray Baylor Law shirt with green lettering if that makes a difference!

Good news!

We found out yesterday that Walker's little buddy, Aaron, was starting W's school next week. Well, I just found out that he started today and got put in the same class as Walker. I can not wait for that little boy to get home from school. He is going to be so excited! I can just hear it in his voice now!

Aaron's mom left me a voice message earlier that said when she took him to his class Walker pulled a chair up next to his. And when she was leaving the room she turned around and the boys were hugging! So sweet! I'm enjoying this now, because one day soon it won't be cool to hug!

Just wanted to share this is a big deal for a 5 year old. Now both of my kids have their best buddies in their classes! Should be a fun year!

Brain Freeze

P is also for Popsicle!
This post was supposed to be with last nights but I had trouble uploading some photos. So it's a day late, but worth it in my little ole' opinion!

Our neighbor brought out a Popsicle for each of the kiddos last night! They all sat down in the grass and ate them up! Warning...there are lots of pictures in this post, but I had to show all the different facial expressions my little man made!

I've never just handed G a Popsicle and let him go to town on it. I'm a nervous Nelly when it comes to choking and just would never give even a Popsicle to him alone. But last night I did. And I must say he did not waste anytime! His was completely gone before the other's had even eaten the tip off. He meant business!

Brain freeze

Look at that belly! WOW!

Notice how much Alli still has left on her stick and what G has!

Can a sista help a brotha out?

Where did it all go?

Here mom! I'm all done!

OK, so now I want you to notice my children and their stained faces and belly's in some cases...Alli's mouth is completely red all the way around it. Griffin is stained but he's 15 months old you'd expect that right? Even Walker...you can't tell by this photo, but his mouth is pretty clean! My daughter on the other hand is clueless! She never worries about what is on her checks, mouth, face! She cracks me up and I know that one day she will care and then and only then will she look in the mirror every now and then to make sure she is clean and tidy! But until then I get to enjoy the innocence she still has at 9 years old! And hope and pray that innocence doesn't go away anytime soon!

And it still looks, even after several minutes with his Popsicle all gone, like he still has brain freeze!

Peek-a-boo

P is for peekaboo!

Our sweet neighbor was out this evening mowing and Griffin was playing peekaboo with her through our fence.
Look at his sweet face! I could just eat him up!
Later Alli and Walker climb over the fence to visit her and he did not like that at all! He stomped his feet and got mad! Temper, temper!

Paper Airplanes

P is for paper airplanes...

The evenings have been perfect around here lately! We've enjoyed our evenings outdoors! Last night it was playing with frisbees and tonight it was paper airplanes.
Even as young as 1, little boys *heart* paper airplanes. Griffin thought it was fun just to wave it around!
And then even at age 30 something, big boys *heart* paper airplanes!
Boys will be boys!

Not Me Monday...

Ok so this is my first time to do anything like this on my blog! So follow along and learn with me it should be fun! For more info you can hop over to MckMama's blog and read details on how to play!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Thursday, I DID NOT make a chocolate chip pound cake while my kids were at school and hubby was at work so I could sop the bowl and lick the spoon all by myself...I did not I tell you! And I certainly did not sit on the couch and watch my "silly show" Y&R while doing it. Nope not me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Saturday, I DID NOT leave the kids with my hubby while I went out to several stores looking for a particular platter to decorate and while I was out I DID NOT drive thru the Sonic and get a .99 cent banana split for lunch! I also did not sit in the Wal-Mart parking lot and enjoy it in peace and quiet!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What kind of mother would do such a thing?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not me!

Sunday at my Grandparents...

My Grandmother (Wendy, her mum was born in Chester) invited us all over after church today for lunch. It was basically for my mom's birthday. It was really nice, since we rarely do anything like this. We put the kids bikes in the back of the truck and headed over after church. I would have loved to spend some time sitting on the peer talking, but with a 15 month old and a body of water there is no sitting or relaxing!

Of course, no "get together" is complete without pictures. And today...it was interesting trying to get just one good one. As you can tell in the picture above Walker is out of snuff and was for a while. Not sure what his problem was but we battled him all afternoon. To the point of putting him to bed by 6:30. He was something else today. I just hope he wakes up tomorrow on the right side of the bed for his sake and for mine...

This little guy hadn't had a nap yet and was pretty pleasant until the end! I'll post some pictures of his fit towards the end of this post.

Again, we had to get a group shot. It was hard to catch everyone with their eyes open...I think Jason got it!

Here are the pictures that Griffin had had enough. He was done. Don't ask me to smile again. Don't ask me to look at the camera again. He was done.finished.outof.here!.

And then in the next breath decided he was happy and content playing with the leaves on the tree.
We had a nice time. They live way out in the country surrounded by woods. We spent many hours rowing across the pond and riding motorcycles thru the woods and fields when I was growing up! Fun times!

Now, there is NO WAY I'd allow my children in a boat on the pond OR on a motorcycle. But then again my oldest is only 9. I'm pretty sure I wasn't doing any of those things at that age either.
