Happy Birthday Babe!

Today is my hubby's birthday!
Normally I would have just bought a cake but today I decided I'm going to start making these yummy Magnolia Bakery Cupcakes for birthdays!
When we were in NYC last summer we fell in love with this bakery! And I have been craving a cupcake from there for weeks now!

Griffin and I worked hard all morning baking!
We had a good time! He enjoyed putting in the eggs and helping beat the mixture! Oh and of course eating the icing and uncooked batter!

Megan close your eyes...
We went to Pizza King with his family and then back to our house for cake and icecream!
Our night ended in the backyard with a fire in the pit!
I'd say it was a good day!
Happy Birthday Babe! I love you so very much!

Alli has not taken these glasses off since we bought them for her halloween costume! She thinks she is going to wear them on Monday. Probably not! She looks cute though! Tomorrow is a busy day. Say a prayer! We are going to have 6 kids in the house over night...yikes I'm a little nervous! Walker is having his first over night guest...his bf's parents are going to College Station to visit his big sister and he wanted to trick or treat with us. Which later turned into an over night stay. Please say a prayer. Normally I wouldn't allow an overnight visitor at this age, but it's alittle different this time!
Have a Happy and Safe Halloween everyone!!!!

My little man...

Just for fun today!
We were dressed for Daddy's birthday so I took the opportunity to try to snap some cute picutes!
Griffin is actually at a good age. He likes to have his picture made, but doesn't slow down long enough for me to sometimes snap a good one!

But today, he let me snap a few good ones!

Pumpkin carving time as a family.

I wished I could post all the past pumpkin carvings that we have done.
One of the first times was in Waco while Jason was in law school. Alli decorated her pumpkin with playdoh while Daddy carved the pumpkin. She was soooo proud! Alli's first Halloween we carved her name in the pumpkin it turned out cute! I also wished I had owned a digital camera all those years ago! But I can't and I didn't!

This year Griffin was very interested in what was going on! He kept his eyes on that pumpkin and his Daddy. Watching every move Jason made! It was precious!

"What's in there Griffin?"

Fun!!

Griffin enjoyed using all his senses tonight! He loved tasting it and smelling it!

"Here Daddy wanna smell?"

How did those seeds taste Griff?

The final picture!
This picture made me stop and realize how big my kids are getting....look at Alli. She is growing up so fast!

So sweet!!! Watching it glow!

Sweet Two's

The terrible two's are just... that terrible.
But they are sooo sweet too!

He has def. hit the terrible two's recently.
He likes to tell us NO and throw fits.

But then he can look at me with those blue eyes and long eye lashes.
And smile that beautiful big smile.
And my heart melts.

These pictures are not good quality, but look at him...does that matter?
Nope, not to me.
He was not posing...just playing and I caught it!
Yay!

Sweet boy, please slow down...I want you to stay small longer!
Even if they are "terrible"!

Ice Cream Sundae Party 5th grade style!

It was a busy afternoon! After I finished carving pumpkins, I headed over to Alli's campus and helped serve ice cream sundaes!
Loved, loved, loved being in her school and seeing her campus and being with her class.
She has a great teacher (wink, wink) and a great homeroom!

Alli and her class changing classes.

Alli with her little group of friends.

Her class.
They were so cute and had sooo much personality.
Enjoyed my afternoon completely!

Pumpkin Carving first grade style...

This afternoon I got to go to Walker's class and help carve pumpkins that will be on display tomorrow in the Primary Library!
Thanks to my old neighbor Mrs. Carley who came over and watch Griffin so I could go!
Bless her!

Walker is constantly talking about C&B. Two little identical twin boys in his class. He loves them. So today while Mrs. Z was giving instructions this is what I saw. He is still very affectionate and I wonder when he will out grow it. I love that he is so loving. But I've noticed some of his friends are starting to not enjoy his friendly hugs!

I had Walker and 2 of his classmates in my group. They were supposed to scoop out the "guts" and then count the seeds. My group had a hard time "focusing"...a hard time. So we never got a final count.

Walker didn't really like the "guts" of the pumpkin.

But Christian did so they let him do most of the de-gutting.

Our final pumpkin...can you tell what it is?

I love how Walker snuck in the rabbit ears...he is a silly boy!
