This afternoon we had a surprise visit from our friend Mendy and her two little ones!
They are in for the holiday and stopped by for a much needed visit.
Seems like months since we all 3 got to sit down and chat.
Mendy sang at our wedding!
And was Jason's friend first, but quickly my friend next!



The kids played outside!
We ate Pizza King!!!
And sat by the fire!

Played alittle Wii Mario Cart!
And lost tooth! Dayton...not Walker (bless his heart! surely soon he'll loose one!)

Mendy I'm so excited you came by tonight!
It was sooo good to see you and the kids!
Those babies are so blessed to have you in their lives!

This is my second year to get to work with these beautiful children! They are gorgeous, but better than that they are beautiful on the inside! So much fun to be around! So loving to each other! And bless their hearts...we took pictures along time! They were troopers!

And was was awesome was that their mom had been collecting old dress up clothes for them to wear! Old clothes that were grandpa's! Old jewelry that belonged to grandma and great-grandma! Such a wonderful idea! I had a blast taking these!

We spent the morning with our really good friends!

The other day, Griffin and I were outside playing. He walks around and says, "Where is my buddy Wyatt?"

Then today when I saw this it melted my heart! They all love this dog. Stink and all!

Meet Jack

This year at school Walker has decided to go by "Jack". Which perfectly fine since it is his first name. BUT we have always called him by his middle name. Well everyone except Mother (Jason's grandmother) and she called him Jack Walker.

I have to say, I'm not sure how I feel about this. I mean he is Walker to us. But when I go to school and hear his classmates calling him Jack and me Mrs. Walker I'm alittle confused.

Is this normal at this age? Will he out grow this desire to be called diffently? Do I give in and start calling him Jack too?

What to do! What to do!

I guess I can just call him "Jack Walker" and that way everyone knows who we are talking about.

Funny story though. He was named after Jason's grandfather Jack. Who's name wasn't really "Jack". When he was five years old he too changed his name to Jack from Warner Waveland Ogden.

So who knows maybe it runs in the family!

Brothers

This quote made me laugh...because honestly, if we were all honest, it is TRUE.

All my children, not just the boys are this way. They all have their moments, but in the end they love each other to death. The love to play together. Somedays playtimes end in arguements. But somedays they don't! They are friends. And will be...always.

All I wanted was to see Griffin's baby blues. And he wouldn't look at me...with his eyes open.
So, my little helper aka Walker, tickled him. He didn't look at me, but I caught a sweet moment!


But after that sweet moment. Walker had been holding Griffin's acorns. And once I was done picture taking, I hear Walker say, "Here Griffin get your nuts." And y'all this statements isn't "funny", but it was too me. I don't know if all little boys use this word, but our son does. And he DID NOT here it from home. If anything we highly discourage it. Well you know when refering to other things other than actual...nuts. So anyway, I couldn't help but snicker alittle when I heard this.

The PTA at our school is having a contest and this is the theme, "Beauty Is". And my children asked to participate. We have worked this weekend to get it all put together so we can turn it in on Tuesday.
