Boys will be boys

This little jungle gym has been our our back deck since we moved in.
But it had been very cold, wet and with Griffin being sick we haven't played outside much.
So a few days ago I brought it in.
And these boys have played constantly on it.


Trying to build something.

Anything using my chairs.

Until mommy ruins the day and tells them that what they are doing is not safe.

So off they go playing without my chairs!

The donut hole

Last weekend Daddy explained how you get a donut hole.

This morning Griffin fixed his donut!

This is Griffin at Alli's game yesterday.

He was so cute!

And she is starting to "get" it. Becoming alittle more aggressive. But still not as aggressive as some of the girls are.
And personally, that is ok with me! I think that is why basketball has never been one of my favorite sports.
I don't like it when players are mouthy or pushy...I guess that is why I prefer volleyball...they're on one side of the net...you're on the other! No touching!

I think this is our last week that Walker and Alli's games will interfere with each other. Jason has yet to see Alli play the whole game. And I missed my little man's first 3 goals this past Saturday! He was mighty proud and I think he too is starting to "get" it! Yay!!!

I am pretty sure today is the first time I have ever had the privilege to sign a 90th birthday card!
How awesome is that!
My grandfather "Ralph" will be turning 90 in a few days and we are having his party today!
90 blessed years!!!

Tornados...

I hate them. I am terrified of thunderstorms. Because usually there is a chance of a tornado. Several nights ago tornadoes were everywhere. Praise the Lord they missed our side of town. But others in surrounding towns were not so fortunate. Thankfully, no deaths.

We were also fortunate to only experience tiny pellets of hail. Some reports were of baseball size hail.

This morning Griffin was sitting at the breakfast table. Jason walks in and Griffin ask, "Daddy you going to work?" And Jason says yes. Then Jason said, "Are you going to work this morning Griff? Or are you staying home to help mommy?" Griffin pats his chest and says, "I not have my work clothes on!"

Tonight was Alli's 2nd night of cotillion. It was a 50's night. A Sock Hop!


She was very excited to wear her new poodle skirt, I mean horsy skirt.
Her Sissy (my mom) made her this very special skirt. A one of a kind poodle skirt!

She came home tonight chatty, chatty!
I asked who she danced with. I asked if they talked during the dance. She informed me that they don't talk. They stare at the floor!
So funny!

She is having so much fun!

Alli I am sooooo proud of you for deciding to do this. I know you are stepping out of your comfort zone. But you have and you are having a blast!

Walker had his 2nd basketball game this past saturday! I was a little concerned after I heard how the first game went. I was also concerned since he had mentioned several times before the game that he did not want to go. BUT I must say, he did a great job. He didn't look like he was too nervous.

Before the game they call you out player by player. He ran thru the victory line and high fived his coach at the end. It was so cute. Does it make me appear crazy that this made me tear up alittle? Anyway, it did and I'll own it!

He has shot lots of hoops the past several days! I think he'll eventually like it! Once he's figured it all out!

An apple a day

I wish kept the doctor away!
If so Griffin should be well.

But that is not the case...
Instead, we had a horrible weekend.
Lots of whining, coughing, vomiting, runny noses, fever and meds.

Took him to see the doctor this morning and poor guy has double ear infections and is wheezing.
So antibiotics, steroids and nebulizer are what's on our schedule this week. YUCK!

(this was Griff's snack the other day. I thought it was cute how he ate it. He took a few bites out of it and lined them up on the table when he was finished.)

Griffin is really good about putting his shoes on the shelf.

So today after I told him to put his shoes away, I smiled when I looked and saw how neatly he had placed them!
I wonder how long this will last? Cause nobody else in the house puts there shoes away properly!

How old does he look?

I sat tonight looking at the little boy in this picture.
And couldn't believe how big he looks. He is not my baby any more.
Oh...how I just can't stand it.

He is a spit fire! No doubt.
But when he kisses me...he grabs both cheeks and kisses me like the european's do. Both sides. Very passionate!
Melts my heart.
