Square-y

It's amazing how you can have 3 children and all 3 be completely different. Alli is very easy going. Neatness does not matter to her at this point in her little life. She could talk about horses ALL DAY long. And then there is Walker. He is alittle more high strung. He is a perfectionist. Bless his heart. At 5 he already stresses about how neat his coloring page is or how perfect his letter is he is writing. A few nights ago he was drawing a picture with his Aunt Chele. They were drawing a house on this page and he got so upset because his house wasn't as "square-y" as hers. We'll have to wait and see what our little guy's personality is going to be like, but at the moment I'd say he is a very happy, determined baby!

Pointing

Our little guy is 8 months old and loves to point his finger at everything. It's too cute, but you teach your children not to point, it is rude, and your baby points at everyone. Surely it doens't offend anyone, but I found myself Monday at Gymnastics explaining to the passing man that he doesn't wave yet...just points. He will just point away when he is upset and you are not doing what he wants or giving him what he wants. I'm afraid he is going to be our little spitfire. Not that my other 2 aren't, but he is going to give us a run for our money! Sweet baby!

Home Sweet Home

Well, we survived! We had a wonderful time. The kids are already talking about the next time we go they want their cousins Hannah and Taylor to go. The drive wasn't too bad. It took us about 13 hours to drive it. And who would have thought that their could be areas in the U.S. where you could drive for 3 hours and never pass a gas station, house or car. It was crazy. Of course, we were in Nowhere land between 9 pm and midnight. So that probably explains why we didn't pass a car. It was a little eerie. Plus on top of being in the middle of Nowhere Alli's poor little eardrum ruptured. What can you do??? We are in Nowhere land!

The kids got up on Friday and we hit the outdoors. They immediately threw themselves on the ground and made snow angels. The funny thing is they couldn't wait until we got in the open field they were in the drive way of this condo complex. Anyway, it show their excitement. I must say that playing in the snow is more tiring than swimming. We sledded for about 4 hours a day total and couldn't get food in us fast enough.

On Saturday night we took the kids to the ski resort and went tubing. Jason and the kids were very excited...me I could take it or leave it. Let me just say I had a slow tube plus kept my heels dug into the ice to keep me from going to fast. About 30 minutes in, Walker had a terrible fall. He flipped his tube at the bottom of the hill and hurt the right side of his face. The paramedic checked him out and said he appeared fine, but to watch him for the next couple of ours. So that ended our tubing experience. I can say I will never tube again and I doubt Alli will. It might take Walker a few years to be ready again.

Got home to Griffin at 9:30 pm on Sunday night. He just looked at us with this confused stare. I think he was mad at us for leaving him. He was way more excited to see Alli than anyone else. I guess we know who his favorite is!

I have finally caught up on laundry! Yea!!! That is the bad thing about vacations, but still can't wait to go on another one!

I felt like Santa tonight...

You know that feeling of trying to be quiet and sneaky as you get all the gifts under the tree. Well that was how I felt tonight. We have been planning for about a month a trip for the kids. We are taking them to Angel Fire, New Mexico tomorrow for a weekend in the snow. They do not have a clue! Well, maybe Miss Alli does...alittle. She just hasn't figured it out yet. We've actually managed to pack and load the car without them knowing. Of course this was all done after their bedtime. Jason plans on picking Alli up at 10 am from school tomorrow and then we are off! I can't wait to see their little faces! They are going to be so excited. Heck, I'm going to be excited. I haven't seen snow in years. So if you are reading this please say a prayer for a safe trip and that our little Griffin will have a safe and fun time with Sissy, Pop, Nana, Poppy and Aunt Chele. He's missing out this time :( Next time I log on I should have some great stories and hopefully wonderful photos! Good night!

Why did they name him Walker...

Today mom and I took Walker, Griffin and my niece Kennedy to the Pop in Play Time @ Pump it up Jr. It was perfect for the little ones. Griffin really enjoyed climbing around on everything and even enjoyed the little slide. He was laughing out loud going down them. Anyway, Walker met a little boy there named Ian (E-un). I listened while Walker called him E-On. It was really funny. As little Ian and his mom where leaving she asked him if he new what his friends name was and of course he did not. She said, "His name is Walker". He said, " Why did they name him that, because he walks alot?" I guess he might get those kind of questions for the rest of his life. Poor kid! But we loved it anyway!

The twilight zone

I've just stepped out of my comfort zone. I can't believe I've just created my very own blog. So many of my friends and family have one and here I am now officially a "blogger". Wish me luck and success as I try to be a good blogger like my cousins. Jill and Yaya you have inspired me!
