His birthday party
Griffin was so excited about his Buzz Lightyear cake!
Can't you tell by that smile?
He was so cute he sang happy birthday to himself while we sang to him!
And when he tried to blow out the candles below he got alittle to close to the cake and his chin went right into the cake.
We worked really hard to get this picture. We kept asking him to smile and he would look at the camera with no emotion. We would say smile bigger and he would barely move his lips. Finally we got this...cheesy smile!
So after swimming in his new birthday present all afternoon and evening on Sunday. He got out to itchy legs and arms. And started yelling "OW!" Immediately flashbacks for last summer came back to me. Flashbacks of rashes and whelps after playing on his slipping slide. We now have an appt with an allergist because it appears he may be allergic to latex. I feel so bad for him now though. We have this pool set up on our deck just for HIM and he can't get near it right now. So.Not.Fair!
Griffin's Birthday!
My baby boy is 3! Look at this pictures below! Does he look like a baby to you?
No? Me either!
I can't believe it's been 3 years since we were blessed with this little bundle!
So for breakfast he asked for "copcakes". Well, since we didn't have any and I didn't think of running to the grocery store for copcakes we talked him into donuts. He wanted his with "sparkles" on it aka sprinkles.

Man I'm looking at that picture and still can't believe he is 3....with tears in my eyes...sniff sniff!

For his birthday we bought him one of those easy set pools. We figured it would be perfect for the summer heat! And perfect for him!
This pool is another story for another time.

Words from Walker
I've been working out on my elliptical regularly since March. Watching my food intake. And just recently started the From couch potato to 5k training a week ago with Jason. I've lost about 7 lbs. Not much but am trying.
Soooooo, last night I walked thru the house and asked Jason if my booty looked like it was getting smaller. Not knowing that Walker was on the stairs. As soon as my question came out of my mouth I hear, "Nope."
I jerk my head around to see Walker at the top of the stairs. He quickly changed his response to, "Yes!"
That boy...out of the mouths of babes. I guess I know the answer uh? Guess I'll keep plugging away at that stinkin' elliptical!

Traditions
Um...this picture just makes me laugh.
He was hot and tired.
This was after game 3.
OK, so about tradition.
All season Walker (inbetween pitches or innings) will pretend to catch a ball and will pretend to throw it to someone.
Then he does a little spin around.
and then usually runs and slides across the grass (yep the whole time I'm cringing because of the lovely white pants some (man) picked out.)
Playing Ball...lots of ball
Walker in "the hole".
Walker plays third baseman.
And took one to the neck/throat.
Game stopped.
But he wanted to play.
So back on the field he went.
In between the last 2 games.
Y'all it was H.O.T.
We found a shade and he sat quietly and drank his water.
I think we ended up with about an hour to rest before the last game.
Our little All Star!
Our sweet daughter!
Our Sweet Horse Loving Daughter has started volunteering.
At Windridge Therapy.
And she is in HORSE heaven!
Last Friday was her first day.
Here she is below waiting on Sue to pick her up. Sue is a good friend of the family who is a PT that works out there.
She is why Alli is getting to volunteer so early. I think you usually have to be 13 or 14 to volunteer. And we all expected Alli to start out scooping poop and cleaning stalls. But not our girl. She blew them away with her skills! So instead of mucking stalls, she groomed horses all morning Friday. And was thrilled! I'm so excited for her! She LOVES horses! And I think has found her little niche!
