A challenge...

Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and
healing to the bones.
Proverbs 16:24 (NIV)

I'm claiming this, will you?

Cotillion night 3!

Tonight was just a normal night at cotillion!
No theme!

Last week when she got home she was chatty, chatty!
And I ate it all up!
Absorbed it all.
Because one day I'm afraid she's not going to want to talk to me...
sniff, sniff

My beauty!

My goofy, beauty!

Next week is HER theme...western night!

Cotillion 50's night!

This year she does to cotillion later. So it is dark outside and I have to take inside pictures.
Honestly, I do not like inside pictures :)
Maybe next Monday I can get her dressed early and take a few outside!

This week was 50's night
the focus was the swing dance!
Notice she doesn't have the tradional "poodle" skirt.
Heaven's no! Her skirt is horsey skirt! Which is very much her!

Pretty girl!

5 Days

I still can't believe we had snow on the ground that long.
And seeing how I felt with the snow on the ground for 5 days and no sun,
I can't imagine how our friends up north who are being pounded by snow are feeling!

We were unable to build a big snowman. The snow was very dry.
The kids tried...I tried...
And one morning I looked out the window and saw this little guy.
Sitting on our mailbox.
My first thought was Alli made this.
But I quickly discovered it wasn't her...
It was her silly daddy!
Look at the little man's hat!
LOVE IT!

Cotillion 2011

This is year 2 of cotillion for us! And this is all new to me, because we didn't have "cotillion" in the big city of Diana!
Last year she cried because she did not want to go, but she went and enjoyed it.
So this year when she decided she did not want to go I said, "Too late, you are signed up and going!"
Didn't really go over well...:)

But today while we were getting her dressed and taking pictures she was all smiles and ready!
LOVE IT!
Sometimes you just have to push them alittle...just like sometimes I have to push myself out of my comfort zone!

Today we dressed in layers. Little cold out!

I'll have to buy her a pretty sweater before next Monday night so she can wear her pretty party dress!

This little girl of mine is growing up way to fast. I'm filling out her JH cheerleader application right now as we speak...sigh!

After 14 wonderful years....

We FINALLY have bedroom furniture!

We have waited and saved. And waited and then decided to go to Disney :) and then saved.
And finally!!! We have matching, beautiful furniture!
I.LOVE.IT!

And I went alittle bold on the bedding!
But I absolutely love it!

I can't wait to get lamps and pictures and things to decorate the room now, but that'll come with time.
What that means is that in a few years it'll probably look just like it does now in these pictures.....cause that's how we roll ;)
Obviously, it took us 14 yrs to buy furniture!

We also bought office furniture. I'll take pics of that another day!

FIRST SNOW 2011

I still can't believe we got this much snow AGAIN! It hasn't even been a year since our last big snowfall.

I mean, seriously, this is huge! For those not from around here...we don't get snow in East Texas!

So today was lots of playtime in the snow! With the neighborhood kids!

And with their Daddy, starting a snowball fight!

It was a blast!

Walker's Christmas Party

Walker at his 2nd grade Christmas Party!

He has the best teacher and class this year! We've been very blessed!

Walker and Bryant, were born on the same day. His mom and I were in hospital rooms next door to each other.
And this year they are in the same class and will be having their birthday together next month!

Walker and his buddies! We have the best little friends! Sooooo very thankful!
