Go Sneaky Cleats!

They were so cute and excited to win that first game of the tournament!
Here is the final score. It made it extra sweet because we beat Ore City!!!

Look at the sweet cousins! Alli and Kamryn before game #1.

Does she look ready or what?

Again, look at that pose!

I'm not sure what they are feeding those girls in Ore City, but this first baseman has to be way older than 9! Look at how much bigger she is than Alli.

This picture made me laugh. They put her on 3rd base during the last game. She's never played 3rd base. The ball was hit and once the play was over she looked over her shoulder at me and made this face. So funny!

Griffin having fun with his Nana.

Obviously, our son has watched way to much Survivor. During the game, Walker and Kennedy are trying to make fire with sticks.
The tournament was fun, but after game #2 (we lost) Alli was exhausted and didn't really want to play another one. They then lost game #3 and got to go home. I hate to say it, but...yeah!
Before the tournament she asked how long does it last. I explained it depended on how well they did. I said it could go on all day. She looked at me and said, "All day! I can't play all day!"

Sweet things they say

These are things the kids have said about little Griffin. They are so sweet and I don't want to forget them...

* I want him to stay the size he is!

* I don't want him to grow up, but I know he will.

* Griffin is so soft.

* I don't want Griffin to go out in the sun and get hard like us!

I'd love to keep a journal of all those cute things my kids say that I don't want to forget and maybe weekly add them to my blog. So as of today, I will make an effort to remember daily to jot them down so I can remember them later! (As a mom, remembering things later is the story of my life!)

Loves the outdoors

What baby doesn't love to be outside. But at this age they don't want you to hold them, yet they can't walk. So tonight we brought this (to flimsy really to use on the hard wood floors) toy outside and it was perfect for the grass. He loved being to able to get around alittle easier without our help. Don't get me wrong he wants running all over the backyard with it, but he certainly was trying his hardest too.

I think someone needs makeup lessons

She got makeup at school today with her "panther bucks". She came home and put it on like this...I don't recall wearing my makeup under my eyes! She is too funny! And very theatrical. Just thought I'd share.

My azaleas

I love love love this time of year when everything is blooming. My azaleas are in full bloom and that makes me so happy. I hope on Sunday morning before church I can get a group picture in from of them. Alli was at Awana's when I took these. This picture below is his new favorite thing to do with his nose. Normally he is smiling when he does it, but here he looks angry. Which he is not. He is most always happy...I probably just jinxed myself...great.

I finally got a good picture, but I had to give him the cell phone and get Walker to stand behind me and make faces. After a few shots he was gone, army crawling across the grass. Just the thought of that makes me itch.

Brotherly love

I think Griffin is finally at the fun age that Walker has been waiting for. He is finally able to "play" with him. They had the most fun chasing each other around the ottoman last night. I think G would have played for awhile if it hadn't been for W leaving the room.
And here, Walker put him on his rug and pulled him around the living room and down the hall. Griffin just smiled and rode!

Later, Walker hid under it and you can see Griffin looking under it...

and then laughing! He thought that was so funny! I just sat and watch! They are too cute!

We will see how long it last. I'm sure soon enough Walker is going to decide that he is in the way...I hope not.

9 Month Check Up

Griffin William Holt 2 days old

Our little guy is doing great! Yesterday he weighed 22 lbs and was 29.5 inches long. He is in the 90% in his height and the 75% on weight and 25% on his little head! I was alittle surprised his head wasn't larger, but anyway. Doctor says he is doing great and we can feed him any soft food with in reason that he will eat. He said 3rd babies usually are eating fries by now. I didn't tell him, but ours has been for alittle while now!

One of his favorite spots these days.

Once he gets in he has a hard time deciding how to get out!

She is soooooo close!

She is there! She can do it, but right now she doesn't truly trust that she can do it! It is all in her head! Once she gets past this she'll be flipping everywhere!

The Easter Egg Hunt

This one says it all...Someone else (aka Alli) got to the egg faster than he did.

We affectionately called these the "cheaters" during our egg hunt. This is how they found those few lost eggs that are so hard to find every year!

It turned out to be a beautiful day! I was so worried it was going to be chilly, but actually I thought it was just about perfect! We started our morning very early. The kids were in our face at 6:5o am..."Can we go see what the Easter bunny brought?" They were too cute! Excited about eveything. I think we need to talk to the Easter Bunny before next year. They got WAY TO MUCH candy!
We went to Tenaha to be with Jason's family for the day. We attended J's family's church. Jason's grandmother "Mother" was happy to have her whole family around her. She really enjoyed holding that "sweet baby". That sweet baby got passed up and down the pew several times. I was worried we were being a distraction. All I can say is that once church was over I was thanking God for children's church! As a mom I get so much more out of church when I am childless! The baby was actually perfect. He never fussed, it was the 5 year old that was hungry that drove me crazy.

Happy Easter 2008

Griffin had no clue what was going on. All he knew was that he LOVED all the shiny things around him!

Alli is very dramatic these days...wait, she's been that way all along! She was very excited as you can see to get the movie Enchanted!

Walker was just as thrilled to get The Bee Movie.

The kiddos before church. Look close and you can see the death grip that Alli has on Griffin's knee. He is such a fireball these days you have to hold on to him tightly or he's out of there!

Dying our eggs

Every year since we had Alli we dye our eggs the day before Easter as a family. We always try to get creative, but every year the eggs continue to look just like the year before. Oh well, it's fun trying. We tried letting Griffin be in on the action, but wow, are his hands fast or what? Somehow he ended up with green food coloring on the bottom of his feet. I bet that doesn't come off tonight at bath time...

We bought the kids a cookie cake from the cookie company that said Happy Easter. As you can tell from the picture all you can read is Easter. Yes, Griffin grabbed it before we could get it from him. He had icing everywhere. I wouldn't let him eat any though. I wanted him to wait until his 1st birthday.

Anyway, tomorrow is the big hunt! Looking forward to it as I do every year. This year we will be spending it in Tenaha with Jason's family. We normally are at my grandparents in Diana. My granny LOVES Easter and always has her basket ready to hunt her eggs. She is too cute! I'll miss it this year, but we will enjoy being with Mother and J's family!

Wendy, do y'all dye eggs and have an egg hunt there? What traditions do you have?
Happy Easter everyone! And remember...HE LIVES!

Tractor

Jason is now the proud co/owner of a tractor. The men in the family all went together and purchased one. Jason was so excited to be part of the deal. The kids LOVED getting to each take a ride around the "woods" with their daddy.

Pop on his new tractor. He is excited! Just like a kid in a candy store!

I thought this picture was sweet. Walker was watching his Pop drive his tractor off. He was so deep into thought. I'd love to know what he was thinking...sweet boy!

This is the old tractor that my dad has used ALL my life. I believe it was my Papa's before that. As you can tell it is OLD!

All the grandkids

(Walker, Alli, Griffin, Kamryn and Kennedy)

My mom was wanting a picture of all 5 of the grandkids. We managed to get them all down in one spot at the same time. What you don't see in this picture are the 2 huge bumble bees flying around. I am shocked that we got them to calmly sit and let us take this picture. If you know my son he normally is running and screaming when he sees any flying insect. Like mama like son...bless his heart!

Uncle Jeff, Alli, Griffin and Walker

They LOVE Uncle Jeff and Aunt Whitney. They live next door to my parents and everytime we go out to visit Pop and Sissy they try to sneak up to their house, because apparently they give them ice cream and root beer. Spoiled rotten!

Camping in the "woods"

Spring is here so it is time for another camping trip in the woods. Our kids LOVE to go to the "woods". Griffin and I only went for the day. Ate a hotdog that was cooked over the fire and came home before dark. I really don't think he is ready to camp just yet. It was so peaceful out there and was the pefect weather. The kids were loving it and worn out from many a walks down different paths in the "woods". I told Jason I bet the kids would be sound asleep before 8. Here are a few pictures I took tonight. Happy camping!
