Funny Walker story...

Walker: Why did I have a big brain when I was a baby?
Mommy: What?
Walker: My head was so big.
Mommy: Your head was not big!
Walker: Have you seen that picture of me as a baby?
Mommy: LOL!

I wished he could find the photo he is talking about. Cause his head was not large. But to him, it was.

Happy 37th Anniversary

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! I pray that you are blessed with another 37+ wonderful years! We LOVE you!

Midnight Snack

Yum Yum Brownie Muffins!

So last night at 11 PM, we made this recipe. My kids were still up, I know it is late and normally they are in bed, but it is summertime and let's have some fun! So this is what we did. They were I think in shock that I was making a snack so late at night, but I had been wanting to try this recipe. Great excuse! As you can tell from the above picture that you only need 2 ingredients...that is it! My kind of recipe!
Like how I am turning into the crockpot lady with these photos ;)

Ssshhhh...don't tell him that there is pumpkin in the muffins!
The verdict:

Obviously, good. This is all that was left on Walker's plate. It was very good and oh so easy! Thanks Megan for the recipe. By the way, this is from The Hungry Girl cookbook!

Precious moment ends abrubtly.

OK, so today we got to go to my cousin "Mia's" house to visit and swim. Mom met us there and we all had a great swim and lunch! Griffin still gets 2 naps a day so before I was done eating he was done and ready for bed. So we get in the car and head home. Of course, within minutes he is out! Almost home I hear from the back seat in a whisper, "Hey, look at this...look how sweet!" When I turn around I see Walker rubbing G's foot and Alli rubbing the other one. Then I look and they are each laying their head on one of his feet. (FYI, G's car seat is between them). So I pull into the driveway and say, wait just a minute I want to take a picture of y'all. So I leave my little angels in the car, run in grab my camera and return to the garage to 3 screaming kids. Wow! How quickly did that go from "Oh, they are just so sweet, to wow what kind of kiddos am I raising!"

So now, EVERYONE is taking a nap so that no one can poke, pinch, scratch, boss or LOOK at the other. Maybe, when they get up they will be in better moods.

Just one of the joys of being a mom! Wish me luck!

What a wonderful surprise!

A visit from Granny, Papa and Sissy!

These days when Papa has a doctors appt, it is straight to the doctor and straight home. He just hasn't felt great lately. So for them to show up on my doorstep today for lunch was a wonderful treat! We were all so excited to see them and get to visit for an hour or so!

And for some reason Griffin loves to play with his walker. Everytime we are at their house this is where G plays. Of course, then my Walker has too also!

This is my grandfather who Griffin is named after. The William is for Papa! I grew up across the street from them and just love them to pieces. My kids love them too! I haven't seen this smile on my Papa's face in months. So good to see him feeling better! He is such a good man...
I look forward to more surprise visits!

I just realized...

Griffin is 13 months old today...
time sure goes fast.
My friend Candy had one of these of her sweet little girl on her blog. I had never tried it so this morning I caught Griff playing in his room so sweetly and got these snaps. Her's turned out much sweeter than mine. I'll have to try next time with more pictures! I'm pretty sure he was kissing the horse in the black and white. But it really looks like he is snorting it. Yesterday he started blowing kisses. So sweet! He is also doing "touchdown".

I want a Wii!!!!!!

I want a Wii really badly.

Last night we tried to go swimming at Chele's but it started thunder and lightning within 10 minutes of getting in the water. So instead we brought their Wii home with us and called Matt , Jessi, and Chele to come over and we played until midnight. They have the American Idol game which was so much fun. Above is Jason singing Black Velvet. We randomly selected the songs and lucky him this is the one he got! Anway, it was so much fun and Alli was really good! As you can see Griffin would have played if he could have read the lyrics. So instead he chewed on our microphone to the kareoke machine.
Below, not only could you get attorneys you can also get entertainment. 2 for the price of 1. Here is Matt singing to my Babe. They are a mess together, how do they get anything done is beyond me!

Upper Case Living

I went to an Upper Case Living party and this is one of the pieces I bought. This morning I was able to put it up. I was so nervous. So afraid I was going to do it all wrong and the piece wouldn't adhere to the wrong thing. Anyway, it is up in Walker's room, probably not exactly level, but surely no one will notice.

Now the fun begins...

Griffin can officially open doors. For weeks now he has wiggled the handle and sometimes actually pulling on it hard enough that he has opened a door. But NOW he can open it everytime! Here he is trying to open Alli's door. She is smarter than him and has her door locked!

So now let's see how smart Walker is...
Yes, I'm in!
This is what I hear... "Griffin William Holt!" Let the fun begin!

I guess I am going to have to wear a key around my neck and keep all our doors locked or I am going to be one busy woman chasing a 13 month old around the house all day.

Alli is home...

My daughter has been away since Sunday evening. First, she spent the night with her little friend and then on Monday she went to my parents house until today, Thursday. It was a long week. So today I meet my mom at Kohl's to shop and get her and I wished I had my video camera, because Walker was so darn sweet. We walked thru the doors and he ran to her and said, "Alli I missed you so much!" Now, I have to say I don't think those words would have ever come out of her mouth if the shoe was on the other foot. But anyway, we all really missed her and am very happy she is home. I feel bad for her though, because she is home and daddy is working late tonight and it really bothered her when I put her to bed.

Here are some things she did while at Pop and Sissy's. And I must say first none involved an hour or so trail ride on her horse Ginger.

But they do involve driving Pop's truck...with him sitting next to her in the pasture. I think I scared my in-laws when I told them that Alli drove Pop's truck, 'ol blue. Hey, I grew up in the country. We all "drove" the truck with Dad next to us at some point in our little lives!

She did get to ride Ginger once.

She got to visit with my grandparents alot while out there. Which I know they enjoyed. They think she hung the moon anyway!

She got to play all day with cousin Kennedy!

Sissy gave her some of her old makeup to play with. It is now in my bathroom so I can supervise it or else it will be everywhere!

Picked peas and shelled them! We are having them with cornbread this weekend.

She had a great stay! And really I think she would have stayed longer if I would have let her. She was the Queen B over there! Thanks Mom and DAd for having her and taking care of her. She had a great time!

Does anyone recognize who this is?

If you have any information on who this is please contact us immediately!

He is so funny. He played in this costume all day yesterday. I got this off a clearance rack in December for $3. I kick myself for not buying the next size up. He just loves it! Thought I'd share this picture.

Everyone wants on the slide!

Everyone wanted their picture made coming down the slide. It was a fun evening! We all enjoyed swimming...thanks Chele, Hannah and Taylor! We had a blast!

Couldn't get enough of the slide!

He wanted to slide down their slide. So Jason would put him on the end and let him scoot down. HE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! That is all he wanted to do after that!

Look at his sweet face in these last 2 pictures. So much fun!

A summer time must!

We went to Chele's swimming last night. The water felt great. Just how I like it...warm! Griffin must have liked it too, it was probably the first time he stayed in the water for so long.
Here is my Walker swimming underwater without his "boobies" as he calls them. (AKA floaties). He is doing such a great job swimming like a fish!
My 3 boys! Isn't it a sweet picture!

Look at me color!

Griffin got these colors for his birthday and is really liking them. Taylor was so cute sitting down with him and coloring. He wanted Griffin to write his name, but all little man wanted to do was dot, dot, dot. That was the extent of his coloring!
Here he is dotting!
His first artwork. I am such a proud mommy. I'll be framing this one!

Crazy Mama!

As you all know I love my babies feet! I've loved all 3 of their feet and still to this day love just looking at them. I'm sure soon, Alli will reach that age that they won't be sweet any more but for now they are...

So today I was taking some of Griff's while he was eating lunch. This is how he always sits when in his chair. ALWAYS! Never fails. Anyway, I was snapping away when I looked up and realized he was looking at me and laughing. I know he was wondering what his Mommy was doing. Bless his heart...yes, I am crazy. Crazy about my baby's feet!

I just love everything about those chubby little things! And want to remember them always as they are today! Crazy or not?
