I get way too excited...

So we love the Olympics around here just as I am sure most of you do! But I think I get a little too into it! I'm not even there nor do I know these people and my little heart almost can't take some of these competitions.

Tonight, May & Walsh took the gold. Wow, what an awesome game it was! They are amazing! But man, I couldn't even sit down to watch it. I caught myself jumping up and down in my bedroom all along. How crazy am I?

I guess my children better get ready, cause they are going to have one vocal, charismatic mama on their hands one day!

And honestly, it doesn't even matter if it is a sport I am watching. I get just as excited and worked up if it is Survivor.

Boys...

These 2 boys have played all day long. First thing this morning they played with Walker's airplanes. This was tough on Walker because he didn't really like Griffin playing with his things...well, he better get ready because the fun has just begun! Griffin was so proud of himself having Walker's car!

This one below is of Walker saying, "NO Griffin, not that one!"
I bought a pack of diapers this afternoon and they made a boxcar. W drove G all over the house! Until they both got in and one of them got hurt...yes, G got hurt and that was it. He wouldn't go near the box again.
I believe in the picture below W is saying, "Wow, G I don't think we both fit in the box..."
Anyway, on Monday it's going to be a sad day around here when his playmates start back to school...

Rain

It has been rainy for a couple of days now here. Honestly, I love this kind of weather. These are great nap days! Great watch a movie day! Or great read a book day! But because I have 3 children I hardly ever get to read a book! That is something I will be able to do in a few years, but for now...no time to read a book to myself!

My good friend Candice is here visiting her family for the week. We were able to get together today with all the kids (7) at Kids Station. It was a great idea, but because it was rainy out many other moms had the same idea. The kids got to play for an 1 1/2 hrs. That was plenty of time to wear the little ones out! I took pictures but trying to get 3 under the age of 2 to look at the camera wasn't easy.

So I hope you are enjoying this quiet, wet, cool August day! I am about to catch me some ZZZZZ's!

This is a record...

It is 11:30 a.m. and my little man is still asleep. That is the longest he has ever slept. That birthday party must have worn him out yesterday!

The other 2 spent the night at Pop and Sissy's for the annual slumber party with their cousins. I'm heading out to get them whenever little man wakes up.

Did I sleep until 11:30 you might ask? NO, of course not. I've made the bed, cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, washed a load of clothes, balanced my checkbook and blogged.

I'm sitting here right now listening to absolutely nothing. So quiet around here!

I'm off to enjoy it, cause it won't last much longer!

More pictures from the birthday party!

We had a very busy weekend! Today was my niece Kamryn's birthday. We spent the entire afternoon out at my parents house and then late in the day over at my brother Brian's house for the party. We all had a great time visiting. It was so peaceful at their house...the live in the country not too far from my parents house (where I grew up)!

Here are Dad (aka Pop) and Griff. Griffin just loves his grandpa's!

Griff also loves to slide!

And all the big kids love to jump on the trampoline!

Happy 8th Birthday Kamryn!

Griffin and Uncle Brian at the party.

The sweet birthday girl! Look at her pretty hair! I would die for her locks!

I want you to look at Walker in this picture...look at that look on his face! It just cracked me up! Those 2 went round and round that house!

These 2 did also! I'm not sure who had the most fun, Sissy or Griffin!

Griffin's tantrum

The look of peace and quiet! Serenity...

We interupt this peacefulness to bring you Griffin's first tantrum caught on tape...

He got so mad at me for not letting him go up to the "bobbed" wire fence to see the horse. He cried, threw his hands in the air and then...got over it! Within 5 seconds he was up and wondering around again! Even during a fit he is just so darn cute!

Fun at Granny and Papa's

Lily Pads in Papa's pond.

My sweet hubby and 2/3's of my children!

Ok, so I wanted to take my grandparents picture today while we were out visiting. My grandfather hasn't been feeling that great over the past several months. But recently he is doing so much better and even enjoying some time outside. This is a huge sign he is feeling good. So I take several at first and then I hear Papa ask, "What kind of camera is that?" I had my huge lense on because we had been outside. I took my camera over to him and tell him it is a digital and show him his picture. He responds after seeing himself in it (it's the first picture below), "I guess I should have sat up straight!" I said, well, let's take another one!

So we did! They are the sweetest people! I just adore them! My granny is a character! You have to take her with a grain of salt sometimes, but I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world!

Pictures from the pond

I had been wanting to take pictures of the kids on my Papa's pier, but after today I have realized Griffin is still way to young. I worried he might fall in, of course Jason was right there the whole time, I still couldn't do it. So I took more of the big 2. Maybe in a few months, Griffin will sit still long enough to get a good one! But for now I thought these turned out pretty sweet!

Playtime at the park with Daddy!

Tonight when Jason got home from work I suggested that we take the kids to the park for a picnic and playtime! It was so nice and breezy considering it is Aug.15th! I am so hoping Fall arrives sooner than later this year! Fall is my favorite time of the year...I love all the warm colors and watching the leaves change colors and fall! It is so...yummy!

Ok, so sorry I got off track. Back to the park...

We got Whataburger and ate before letting the kids play. Walker's little friend Aaron was with us so the boys played hard. Griffin played just as hard. He loved climbing the stairs and swinging! Oh and the slide. He LOVED the slide! And the wood chips and the sand and the...you get the picture!

My pretty little lady!

Playtime at the park with Daddy part 2!

Jason was able to capture the joy on little man's face while we were swinging. He loved every minute of it!

Here are Walker and Aaron. Those boys ran all over that park. Red faced and sweaty!

Getting a push from his Daddy. So rare going to the park with Daddy! We might have to make this a weekly trip. It was fun for all!

His face says it all! Priceless!

Did he almost give you a heart attack?

Michael Phelps....
We just watched his race and oh my...I really didn't think he had won. But he did, barely! Wow! We are such fans of his. Even Walker, sits and cheers for him. Tonight he gave his fans a heart attack. Wow that was way too close! Are you watching the Olympics too? What is your favorite sport?

Dress by "Just Liv"

My cousin has a friend who is making these dresses! Isn't it precious!
She just loves it! When I showed it to Alli she said, "This is sooooo me!"
Thank you Colleen! We LOVE it!

FYI: She will be wearing either jeans or capris under this and a tank top/shirt. I'm sure she will be wearing it the first day of school. It just looks so cute on her!
