Houston friends

Just a few more from our time in Houston.
We also went to a Houston Astro game. Which was Griff's first major league baseball game. He took it all in!
The boys had a good time and the Astros won! Woo Hoo!

Super Diver!

We spent a couple of nights this week in Houston visiting my sweet friend Candice!
Candice and her husband just bought a new house with an awesome pool!
Walker thought he had died and gone to heaven!

He was really into me taking pictures of him diving!

And wanted to dive and look at me each time!

He had a good time and would have lived in the pool if we had let him!

Candice and Paul thank you for having us!
We really enjoyed it!
My boys had a good time playing with your boys!
Can't wait to do it again!
(I'm sure Candice has more pictures on her camera. I just got a few in the pool!)

Sprinkler Time with Cousins and friends

I'm so behind on blogging.
Several weeks ago we meet my mom, neices and my friend Courtney with her 4 children at the Sprinkler Park.

We spent all morning there and had a little picnic lunch.
These 3 girls love each other and are so cute together!

Here is Walker doing what he does best...
talking.
Who knows what he is talking about, but he is always, always talking.
And his little brother is following in his footsteps...WOW!

GOZIPTEXAS

We spent our day ziplining. We've been wanting to go and the opportunity presented itself and we went!
It was beautiful!

And hot!

It was in New York...New York, TX.

Here we are with our group. It was with Alli's little (JJ56) 5th & 6th grade group at church.
Walker got to come too!
He couldn't even reach the platform when he was connected to the cable! Too cute!

More pictures to follow (later when I'm not tired ;))

Butterflies

While hiking and site seeing we saw this butterfly that followed us around.
Seriously, Jason held it. Let it go. And it flew back to us.
So pretty.

Rock House Shelter

One of our hikes at Petit Jean State Park was to thie Rock House Shelter.
Indians lived in it years ago.

We walked right upon it without realizing we were at it.
I couldn't believe how hidden it was.
And how huge it was!

Here below is one of the pictographs from the indians!
We went here a couple of times trying to find a new pictographs.
It was just really neat. I think my kids would love it!

Old friends

On Sunday evening we drove over to Tyler to visit with old friends from law school. After dinner we walked over to the community pool.
While I was walking upon the pool, I hear someone say my name. Y'all it was my "little" friend Shelly who was a bridesmaid in our wedding. I have not seen her in probably 5 years. She moved to Tyler when we moved from Tyler so we never were there together and i never realized where she lived. Well, she and my friend Ashley are neighbors! How crazy is that!

It was so good to see her and her precious baby girl!

Here are Jack and Walker.

And Hope, Alli, Jack and Walker.
The kids played sooooo well together! But they always have!
Jack even asked if Alli could spend the night...
Um...NO!

And here is their newest addition, Mia!
Isn't she adorable red popcicle and all!
She turned one on June 12.
I wanted to just eat her up!

Sleep my little baby...

Griff has been sleeping sometimes down stairs in the empty office.
It's just easier sometimes. He doesn't stay in his bed at naptime or bedtime most of the time.
So instead of going up and down the stairs a hundred times a night or day we put him in this room on a mattress.
Today at naptime when I went to shut the door this is what I found!
Oh how it just melted my heart! I sooooo miss those baby days! When you could just sit and watch them sleep.
I just want to kiss those sweet lips!

Petit Jean State Park

So last Friday, we dropped Alli off to go to camp and the boys off to spend the weekend with my parents and headed to north Arkansas.
To Petit Jean State Park where we stayed at Mather Lodge.

On our way we saw a Grandy's that we had to stop and eat at.
We love Grandy's!

We drove along Hwy 7 and drove across this pretty little bridge in the middle of nowhere.
Jason said I was a quick draw :)
I grabbed and turned on my camera and snapped a picture in seconds ;)

After driving 6 hours because we drove around Lake DeGray we finally arrived at our destination...

I couldn't believe the view when we walked up to the lodge.
Now, the lodge is very rustic.
But the outdoors were beautiful.
I'll post more photos as soon as I upload them.
We did lots of hiking. And y'all it was HOT! But worth it!
