Saturday was a busy day. Not only was it Walker's 8th birthday, it was also his basketball game and party.

As you can see he is left handed and it is hard trying to figure out how to get him to hold his pencil.
But he is getting it! I'm proud I might add!!

Cotillion night #4

Tonight at Cotillion, it was the Valentine party. 
So you were supposed to wear your valentine dress.
Some of us did not realize that, luckily I was the driver on this night and Alli was able to go change last minute.  Poor Robyn wasn't so lucky.

Snow day #2 2011

I still can't believe all the snow we have gotten!


The kids have LOVED it!

And on this snow day they spent their entire day outside in it!
With friends!
Our friends came over and played all day in the woods.
They had a blast!

We also fed our sweet little birds!
And the squirrel.

And I can't wait to get more paper so I can really get crafty!

Cotillion night 3!

Tonight was just a normal night at cotillion!
No theme!

Last week when she got home she was chatty, chatty!
And I ate it all up!
Absorbed it all.
Because one day I'm afraid she's not going to want to talk to me...

Cotillion 50's night!

This year she does to cotillion later. So it is dark outside and I have to take inside pictures.
Honestly, I do not like inside pictures :)
Maybe next Monday I can get her dressed early and take a few outside!


This week was 50's night
the focus was the swing dance!
Notice she doesn't have the tradional "poodle" skirt.
Heaven's no! Her skirt is horsey skirt! Which is very much her!

5 Days

I still can't believe we had snow on the ground that long.
And seeing how I felt with the snow on the ground for 5 days and no sun,
I can't imagine how our friends up north who are being pounded by snow are feeling!


We were unable to build a big snowman. The snow was very dry.
The kids tried...I tried...
And one morning I looked out the window and saw this little guy.
Sitting on our mailbox.
My first thought was Alli made this.
But I quickly discovered it wasn't her...
It was her silly daddy!

Cotillion 2011

This is year 2 of cotillion for us! And this is all new to me, because we didn't have "cotillion" in the big city of Diana!
Last year she cried because she did not want to go, but she went and enjoyed it.
So this year when she decided she did not want to go I said, "Too late, you are signed up and going!"
Didn't really go over well...:)



But today while we were getting her dressed and taking pictures she was all smiles and ready!
LOVE IT!
Sometimes you just have to push them alittle...just like sometimes I have to push myself out of my comfort zone!

Today we dressed in layers. Little cold out!

I'll have to buy her a pretty sweater before next Monday night so she can wear her pretty party dress!

This little girl of mine is growing up way to fast. I'm filling out her JH cheerleader application right now as we speak...sigh!
